Why do politicians develop amnesia after election?

I generally develop amnesia after an erection, but that's because-- oh... eLection!!! (sorry)

They don't develop amnesia after their election. They remember where the campaign contributions came from.

Because the voters want to beleave the lies. Voters love the lies. If a politician tells the right lies he gets elected. If he tells the whole truth he doesn't get so much as a second look. Voters are lazy, and gullible.
